The 70th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Heart Rhythm Society (JHRS2024) will be held from Thursday, July 18 to Saturday, July 20, 2024 in Kanazawa City in the Hokuriku region of Japan (*ICD/CRT Joint Training Seminar will be held as an online seminar on July 27). The colorful poster design was expressed arrhythmia inspired by the 3D mapping used in catheter ablation; we hope most of you feel familiar with it.

Around 30 years ago, we started studying clinical arrhythmia at the same time as a resident at the National Cardiovascular Center (currently the National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center). Under the guidance of then director Katsuro Shimomura, Dr. Tohru Ohe, Dr. Shiro Kamakura, Dr. Naohiko Aihara, Dr. Takashi Kurita, Dr. Kazuhiro Suyama, Dr. Wataru Shimizu, Dr. Yoshio Kosakai and other well-known staff members worked on the basics and latest clinical practice in ablation, devices and hereditary arrhythmia. Each of us learned from their expertise and further developed them, and we have since been providing the latest treatments and guidance to the next generation in clinical practice. Over the years, the diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmia has greatly advanced. At JHRS2024, we are planning to have invited lectures, debate sessions, and symposiums on cutting-edge diagnosis and treatment in each field of arrhythmia, which is a specialty of both of us. The important topic of increasing the diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmia will also be addressed, and there will be a number of training sessions for nurses, allied professionals and educational sessions to get junior doctors interested in arrhythmia.

We will do our best to make this meeting fruitful for all participants. We look forward to seeing you in Kanazawa in the next July.
