Symposium	Channelopathies associated with sudden cardia death in children and adolescents	Outline Channelopathies associated with sudden cardia death in children and adolescents Sudden cardiac death （SCD）occurred in 70,000 people annually in Japan, usually in the elderly population due to ischemic and/or structural heart diseases. but rare in childhood and adolescence. However, it may happen in children and adolescents in the absence of apparent structural heart diseases but may presence of some electrocardiogram (ECG) abnormalities such as long (LQTS) or short QT syndrome, early repolarization syndrome, catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT). In Japan, a school-based ECG screening may catch suspected LQTS then diagnosed even in asymptomatic, in contrast, CPVT can hardly be diagnosed only from the resting ECG. Therefore, a genetic testing is recently important for early diagnosis of these inherited arrhythmias. On the other hand, therapeutic strategies, and risk stratification to prevent SCD for the younger patients are still controversial. We would like to discuss about molecular basis, diagnosis, risk stratification and therapeutic strategies for the channelopathies in children and adolescents.	Presentation Language：English
Symposium	Catheter ablation for congenital heart disease	Outline Catheter ablation for congenital heart disease Surgical treatment has improved the long-term prognosis of patients with congenital heart disease (CHD), but late atrial and ventricular arrhythmia remains a risk for patients who have undergone surgery. Catheter ablation of arrhythmias after repair of CHD may be difficult because of complex anatomy. Insights into the relationship between anatomical obstacles identified through substrate mapping and critical reentry circuit isthmuses is useful in determining the ablation sites, leading to improved outcomes in some CHD. In this session, we would like to discuss ablation strategies, including disease-specific mapping techniques.	Presentation Language：English
Symposium	How to take advantage of imaging for arrhythmia treatment	Outline How to take advantage of imaging for arrhythmia treatment Traditional approaches relying upon electroanatomic mapping alone have limitations in their ability to identify critical arrhythmogenic substrates. Recently, the combination of multimodality imaging including echocardiography, nuclear imaging, computed tomography, and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging along with information from electroanatomic mapping allows for a more comprehensive assessment of the arrhythmogenic substrate. Advanced imaging techniques can be used to create tailored ablation strategies preprocedurally and have been shown to improve long-term ablation outcomes. In this session, we would like to discuss how imaging can be used to guide ablation planning and execution with a focus on clinical applications aimed at improving the outcome of ablation procedures. Symposium	Arrhythmia-susceptibility genes and development of arrhythmias	Outline Arrhythmia-susceptibility genes and development of arrhythmias Susceptible gene polymorphisms obtained from genome-wide association studies (GWAS) in common diseases such as hypertension, diabetes mellites, and ischemic heart disease are thought to be related to the risk of disease manifestation. In arrhythmic diseases, development of atrial fibrillation is, in some part, associated with the genetic polymorphism. Thus, polygenic risk score may predict development of atrial fibrillation. Furthermore, in the Brugada syndrome and long-QT syndrome, which has been considered as a monogenetic disease, some genetic polymorphisms are recently considered to be associated with the risk of developing the diseases in individual patients. In this symposium, we would like to discuss how we should consider the latest clinical and molecular findings obtained from GWAS on the risk of arrhythmic diseases.	Presentation Language：English
Symposium	Conduction system pacing	Outline Conduction system pacing Conduction system pacing (CSP), represented by His bundle pacing (HBP), is now an unavoidable topic in device therapy, with the HRS/APHRS/LAHRS guidelines to be revised in 2023. Its usefulness is now widely recognized, with evidence published for severe heart failure, such as HBP for cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) candidates with complete left bundle branch (LBB) block and LBB area pacing (LBBAP)-optimized CRT (LOT-CRT) with hybrid LBBAP. However, because CSP is a new therapy, its long-term follow up data is still unclear, and there are scattered reports of various complications, such as the high incidence of HBP failure. In this symposium, we would like to pause for a moment and discuss with you this topic that has been the focus of much attention and various reports in recent years.	Presentation Language：English

2. Body of the Abstract

There is a 250-word limit to the body of your abstract (Please do not include author name(s) and organizational affiliation(s)). It may include one diagram, which should be in GIF or JPEG format and of 300 KB or less in size. The diagram can be in either landscape or portrait orientation and will be reduced to about 75 mm x 45 mm when printed. Please note that even if you submit a color diagram, it will be printed in black and white. In case the abstract includes a diagram, the body of the abstract should be up to 150 words.

3. Registration ID and Password

Upon your abstract submission, you should “create new account” at first. With this ID and your own password you chose when you first registered as a user, you will be able to log in to your personal abstract submission page and edit or amend your abstract at any time up to the deadline of abstract submission.

You will be responsible for safekeeping of your password and other confidential information.

4. Presentation Language for General Presentation

Please select your presentation language, among “English”, “Japanese or English” and “Japanese preferred” at the time of registration. Note that all slides and posters must be in English only.

5. Presentation Style for General Presentation

Please select your presentation style, either “oral or poster” or “poster preferred” at the time of registration.

6. Type of Presentation Language & Style

The Presentation Language and the style (oral or poster) will be determined by the congress secretariat with regard to the schedule.

7. Publication of Accepted Abstracts

Accepted abstracts, not only the body of abstract but also abstract title, author's name and organizational affiliation will be published exactly as you registered online. We recommend you to carefully read the instructions as you fill out required information.

Young Investigator Award (YIA)

Please indicate whether or not you would like your abstract to be forwarded to the YIA selection process. The final nominees will be selected based on peer-review recommendation. Those finalists will make a presentation for the final selection at the YIA session during the congress.

Eligibility for YIA

To qualify for the YIA, candidates must be primary authors who are aged under 40 as of July 18, 2024.
Please note that you have ever received the YIA in the past, you are not able to apply for the YIA.
If your abstract is nominated for the YIA, you must submit a paper to the "Journal of Arrhythmia (English)".

Best Abstract Award / Best Case Report Award

Congress presidents and Organizing Committees will select several abstracts with the peer-review recommendation by the Scientific Program Committee. Those finalists will make a presentation at the Best Abstract Award Session / Best Case Report Award Session during the congress, and the Award will be decided.

Anyone can apply the award (No qualify of age).

Acceptance Results

The final selection of submitted abstracts will be done by the congress presidents, based on the reviews of the Scientific Program Committee.
Notification of acceptance will be sent in the end of April to the email address that was provided during the registration process. We will also post the results on our website.
